Community Pulse: United Way of Grundy County seeks sponsors

Karen Nall
Karen Nall

Our United Way of Grundy County is currently seeking sponsors for our upcoming annual campaign celebration dinner, which will take place on Sept. 13 at the Morris Country Club.

This annual event is an opportunity to celebrate our successes throughout the year, thank our donors, and commend our 31 community partner agencies who provide more than 50 vital programs and services to Grundy Country residents.

I encourage our local businesses to be a part of this year’s celebration and consider sponsoring this event. There are several sponsorship levels available. In addition, we are also seeking donations of various items for our auction and raffles.

Sponsoring an event is a way for a business to support our United Way of Grundy County and gives the business a great marketing opportunity. Some businesses may not have grant money to donate annually through holding a United Way campaign, but might have marketing funds available to sponsor an event.

Sponsorships help our United Way reduce costs for the event, meanwhile supporting an avenue to raise funds, which in-turn helps generate more funding that is granted to the local not-for-profits we support annually.

The theme for this year’s dinner is sports. As in the past, we encourage dressing up for the theme, which makes it a fun evening for everyone!

Reservations to attend the dinner are $50 per person.

The money raised by our United Way of Grundy County stays local and is awarded annually to local not-for-profit agencies who provide vital programs and services to residents in Grundy County.

The United Way of Grundy County is a not-for-profit, 501c3 organization and has been providing support annually to local not-for-profit agencies in the community since 1946.  It is because of the generosity of the individuals, businesses and companies that give to our United Way, that we are able to continue to make a positive impact in our community.
