Morris – Need something for the kids to do over summer break?
The Grundy County Extension Office, in collaboration with Jacob Hall & Isabella Warmack, is hosting a Summer Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Camp for youth ages 8 to 15.
Come and wet your feet into the wonderful world of STEM.
The four two-day sessions will be held in the month of June. You can choose to attend all four or just the ones that interest you.
Session dates and activities are:
Session 1, June 4 and 7: Make a DC airplane, build mini-motors and more
Session 2, June 11 and 14: Make a mini-hovercraft, fountain and more
Session 3, June 18 and 21: Make a rocket, edible cars, gravity demos and more
Session 4, June 25 and 28: Chemistry demos, slime and more
Sessions will be held from 1 to
3 p.m. at the Grundy County Extension Office located at 4004 N. Division St. in Morris with the June 18 session location TBA in Morris.
All youth who meet the age requirement are eligible to participate and need not be in 4-H. The cost to attend is $10 a session or $30 to attend all four sessions.
