MORRIS — As the regular season winds down and will soon give way to the postseason, the Morris spring sports teams honored its senior members and their families for their four years of committment to both the school and athletic programs. All of the seniors saw action on the diamond or court, and their parents were able to come out and be recognized for all of the work they do behind the scenes.
Photographer Dan Voitik was on hand at both the baseball and softball Senior Day games, as well as the tennis team's Senior Day festivities and captured some of the festivities.
Even though the softball team has had its Senior Day, its season on the home field is not yet over. The Lady Redskins host their own regional starting next week. They and their 24-7 record take on Kankakee at Wednesday, May 24 and, if they win that game, they will play for the regional championship - which would be their third in the last four years - at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27.
