On Sunday the annual Lions Club Car Show held its 31st annual car show where dash plaques were awarded for the first 950 show cars, in addition to trophies to winners of each category.
Lions Club President Doug Linn said it was one of the biggest shows they held in the grassy area across from LyondellBasell, where the show takes place each year. The show typically brings in between 1,200 and 1,300 cars each year along with spectators to see what’s new and what’s old.
There is also an area for cars that are for sale in any condition, from drive-it-off-the-lot to total rebuilds and a flea market for the hard-to-find car parts for the older vehicles.
Linn said the weather warmed up and dried up just in time to draw in the crowds.
