With music in the background and drinks in hand, attendees of the vintage fall window paint and sip tried their hand at creating an autumn pumpkin scene.
Paint and sips like this one, which took place on Oct. 12, are a hallmark of the Happy Daisy Art studio and its owner Jillianne Overman.
Overman is hosting a paint and sip just about every weekend at her shop in downtown Morris or at clients’ homes since she began her business in 2013.
“My goal is to provide a place to share art and art therapy, teaching real art skills while providing a place to relax, have fun, and spend time with friends,” Overman said.
While most paint and sips are private, Overman said she hosts a class open to the public once a month.
“I love getting to meet new people who come in and are just excited to start creating,” Overman said, “You don’t need to know anything about art. I walk you through step by step.”
The next event open to the public will be Nov. 20 at the Route 66 Old School Brewing in Wilmington.
Tickets are $40 and must be paid in advance.
